This Fender Telecaster was made in the USA in 1965. The good news is that it has an original Olympic White custom color finish (although white looks very similar to blond they are different, and olympic white telecaster have alders bodies as opposed to ash). The bad news is that in the 1970's somebody decides to turn this into a "telecaster custom" with a humbucker in the neck position, and 4 top mounted controls, all of which required considerable routing. They also put a telecaster custom style pickgaurd on it. The guitar has now been restored using a large control plate to cover the routing not covered by the normal style tele pickguard. There are also some filled holes from the larger pickguard. Most of the parts are not original but it does still have the original bridge pickup, bridge plate, and neck plate. The neck pickup is a Duncan Antiquity. The guitar has also been refretted. There is a stress crack in the headstock through the tuners which is repaired and stable. The body and neck both have the original finish. Neck is dated March 65. This guitar weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces. It has been pro-setup and plays great. It comes with the original case.
