1972 Fender Mustang Competition Red Short Scale

This Fender Mustang was made in the USA in 1972. Most Mustangs have a 24 inch scale, but this one has a short 22 inch scale. While some Mustangs in the 1965-1966 era have this short scale, this is the only example of a short scale Competition Mustang we have seen. It is certainly a rare guitar. It is 100% original. It shows light play wear but is in overall very clean condition. It weighs 6 pounds 15 ounces and comes with the original case.
