1964 Gibson SG Junior - Cherry-Custom Psychedelic Painted

This Gibson SG Junior was made in the USA in 1964. It has a very Haight-Ashbury psychedelic painting on top of the original finish. It was clearly done in the 1960's. The tuners, bridge, pickguard, and plastic are all original. It has a vintage Dimarzio Super Distortion humbucker loaded into it and changed pots. Some light routing was required to make the humbucker fit. While this guitar is not factory original it is a very cool original remnant of the flower power generation. Its also a fantastic playing and sounding instrument. 1964 is the best year for SG necks and this one feels great with a full profile and 1 and 11/16th inch nut width. The guitar weighs just under 6 pounds. It has been pro-setup in our store and it comes with the original case.
