1963 Fender Stratocaster Natural Refin

This is a great Fender Stratocaster, pre-CBS, made in the USA in 1963. The body has been refinished natural. The back of the neck has the original finish but a very light clear coat was applied over the front of the headstock. It is an ash body indicating the guitar was originally blond. In addition to the body refin there are several non-original parts and other mods. The neck and middle pickup are original, although the neck pickup has been rewound. The bridge pickup is not original. Two of the three pots are original and date to '63, and the switch is not original. The tuners have been changed. The "green" pickguard is original but has 2 extra holes. The bridge is original. The guitar has been refretted. Under the pickguard there is some routing to expand the control cavity, although the three pickup routes are intact. The guitar has been refretted. This is a really good playing and sounding vintage strat. It weighs 7 pounds, 15 ounces. It has been pro-setup in our store. It comes with a non-original case.
