1958-1959 Fender Precision Bass Dark Blue Refin

This Fender Precision Bass was made in the USA in 1959. Two things happened to the P-Bass in 1959: the neck went from maple to rosewood, and the pickguard went from anodized gold to tortoise. These changes happened pretty close together, but there was a very brief window during which Fender made this model with an anodized guard and rosewood board, and these are arguably the best basses Fender ever made. We have seen less than ten over the past twenty years, but this is one of them. The body was refinished dark blue decades ago and is naturally worn. The neck is either oversprayed or refinished and has a replaced decal. Aside from the finish, all the parts are 100& original. This is an incredible playing and sounding bass. It has been pro-setup in our store. It comes with a non original hard case.
