1954 Gretsch Duo Jet Black w/Tweed Case

This Gretsch Duo Jet was made in the USA in 1954. This is one of the earliest examples of this model and has rare features like the script logo, "Gretsch" body badge, and first version Melita bridge. It also has the small white pickguard, dearmond dynasonic pickups, and full block inlays. This guitar shows play wear, but is in good overall condition with no structural damage. It has a great playing large profile neck. It previously had a neck reset (these often need them) and so the neck angle is great and action low. The finish and parts are original except that it has been refretted and the pots are changed. The tuners are original but it had others on it at some point. This guitar has been pro-setup in our store, plays great, and comes with the original tweed case.
